Beto Carrero World is in Penha, about a 40-minute drive from the apartment. It's the largest theme park in Latin America, with roller coasters, live shows, a character area, an animal world and attractions for all ages.
Set aside the whole day. Arrive early, check the show schedule as soon as you get in, and prioritize the busiest attractions — the lines grow fast.
There are several options: 1 or 2 days, half-price, birthday and annual passes. The price varies quite a bit depending on the day and season.
Reference prices — they may vary by day and season. Check current prices on the official site and the BCW+ app.
The Fast Pass is optional and lets you skip the line on some attractions. If you're only going for one day, I consider it essential to make the day worth it.
On holidays, high season and weekends the park gets packed and the lines for the most popular rides easily reach 2h30. Without a Fast Pass you may only manage a handful of rides in a day — plus the challenge of keeping a child entertained standing in those lines.
You pick 4 attractions to skip the line on.

Official parking costs around R$ 80. You can find cheaper third-party lots near the park.
The park has a food court with several restaurants to keep you going all day. Officially you can't bring outside food (water and fruit are allowed; baby items and dietary restrictions with a medical note). In my experience, small snacks like cookies and chips in your backpack usually go through.
It's well worth downloading the BCW+ app. You can register tickets and Fast Passes, see live ride wait times, use the virtual queue to book time slots, and find your way around the park.
The park offers priority service, by law, to people with disabilities, people with autism, seniors aged 60+ (80+ get extra priority), pregnant women and other groups.
