Beto Carrero World

Largest theme park in Latin America

Beto Carrero World is in Penha, about a 40-minute drive from the apartment. It's the largest theme park in Latin America, with roller coasters, live shows, a character area, an animal world and attractions for all ages.

Set aside the whole day. Arrive early, check the show schedule as soon as you get in, and prioritize the busiest attractions — the lines grow fast.

Tickets

There are several options: 1 or 2 days, half-price, birthday and annual passes. The price varies quite a bit depending on the day and season.

Full 1-day ticket: from R$ 184.90
1 day or 2 days
Half-price (students, disabled visitors, seniors 60+ and others entitled)
Birthday pass
Annual passes (Gold, Silver and Bronze)

Reference prices — they may vary by day and season. Check current prices on the official site and the BCW+ app.

Fast Pass

The Fast Pass is optional and lets you skip the line on some attractions. If you're only going for one day, I consider it essential to make the day worth it.

On holidays, high season and weekends the park gets packed and the lines for the most popular rides easily reach 2h30. Without a Fast Pass you may only manage a handful of rides in a day — plus the challenge of keeping a child entertained standing in those lines.

You pick 4 attractions to skip the line on.

Attractions & height limits

Some attractions have height or age limits. Check the official list before you go to plan your day — especially with kids.

Parking

Official parking costs around R$ 80. You can find cheaper third-party lots near the park.

Food

The park has a food court with several restaurants to keep you going all day. Officially you can't bring outside food (water and fruit are allowed; baby items and dietary restrictions with a medical note). In my experience, small snacks like cookies and chips in your backpack usually go through.

BCW+ app

It's well worth downloading the BCW+ app. You can register tickets and Fast Passes, see live ride wait times, use the virtual queue to book time slots, and find your way around the park.

Accessibility & priority service

The park offers priority service, by law, to people with disabilities, people with autism, seniors aged 60+ (80+ get extra priority), pregnant women and other groups.

Head to the SAV (visitor service point) next to the Castelo das Nações, with a photo ID and a medical note. Visitors with disabilities pick up a priority wristband.
You board the rides through their exit. Each priority visitor is entitled to 1 companion.
There's half-price admission for disabled visitors (and a companion) and for seniors 60+. There's also the free Passaporte Kelly for certain cases (intellectual/multiple disabilities, autism and rare syndromes) — request it in advance.
It isn't a guaranteed line-skip: there can still be a wait. Bring all your documents and stop by the SAV as soon as you arrive. Seniors: confirm the procedure at the SAV on the day.

International visitors

Online purchases on the official site require a Brazilian CPF. International visitors without a CPF can buy through the Sales Center, also via WhatsApp.

Host tips

If you notice the lines are long, you can buy the Fast Pass once you're already inside the park — there are staff near the rides offering it.
Bring a rain poncho so you don't get too soaked on the water rides.
Arrive a little before opening so you don't spend long getting in.
As soon as you're in, head straight to the main rides — their lines grow very fast.
